Greetings to InI beloved Community -
The InIversal RasTafari Community, have been invited to participate at the 1st Diaspora RASTAFARI Summit in Hispanic America, hosted by the RASTAFARI Alliance in Panama a non-governmental organization NGO registered in the republic of Panama, to be held from May 23rd to 30th, 2005 in Panama City.
IRASCOM have been invited to conduct a workshop on the topic “GLOBAL RASTAFARI GOVERNANCE” as one and ones here at IRASCOM knows this to be our primary mission and will.
IRASCOM presents a six (6) member delegation to represent this organization at the conference made of up the following representatives
1. Eldress Mama Makeda Blake Hannah – Chief Advisor of IRASCOM – Jamaica
2. Ras Berhane Mariam – Chairman of IRASCOM – The Bahamas
3. Ras Rohan Whyte – Executive Co-Chairman – Jamaica
4. Ras Ashkar Francis – Assistant Co-Chairman – Guyana
5. Ras Ahadu Satchel– Spanish Translator – (Panama Native, Presently resides in Virginia)
6. Ras Makonnen Blake-Hannah - Technology Consultant - Jamaica
As members of IRASCOM, you are entitled to have an input into the selection of your delegation. If ones have any opposition to any of the names mentioned in this delegation, please forward your comments to Empress Denise, IRASCOM Administrator denise_ril@hotmail.com or irascom@hotmail.com .
Traveling can be very expensive, and IRASCOM an organization with very limited financial resources presently, is seeking the pledges, donations, assistance and support from our membership and supporters. Whether the I’s can make a financial contribution, hold a bake-sale or fundraiser, help organize some sponsors for the trip, or whatever assistance is possible, we would be gracious. If one can donate $5, $10, $15, $20 or any amount, this would go along way to help take the message of IRASCOM to the Hispanic and International Rasta Community who will be present at this conference.
At present, IRASCOM estimates the travel expenses to at the very least cost an estimated $2,000.00USD (Two thousand U.S Dollars) to assist three (3) members of the delegation with their travel expenses. Two members of the delegation are making other arrangements to help lessen the financial burden on the membership. Also, several of the members of the Interim Steering Committee have each pledge a $100.00 USD donation.
